Temple of my Soul

It was another tiring day,
Some more escalations on the way,
I am scared to wake up and take the bus,
I know my boss will create some fuss…

You help me take the first step,
Holding me too strong,
I know even if all leave me and go,
You will come along.

For rest you are just some body,
With minor role to play,
But you are the temple of my soul,
It’s me you portray.

I am crying in the rain,
Tears dripping down my chin,
Coz today I miss him again,
And no one knows my heart's in pain.

But you just somehow pick the clue,
Your tiny palms wipe my trickling blues,
Your arms hold me close and hug,
Giving me hope, love and a feel so snug.

Oh! I am so happy today,
In shining sun I made some hay!
Everything went so perfectly fine,
Almost everything is in place.

Once again, you sway in style,
And help me celebrate.
The world knows my happiness,
As you show the glow on face.

For others you are an average frame,
Living as they are,
But for me you are the caring home,
Protecting beyond par.

You are the identity for me,
Making my presence felt,
Without you no one would believe,
Even if I still exist.

I know the respect you deserve,
I understand your worth,
That’s why I will pamper you,
Till you go back to this Earth.

Back to my basics

Remember the days when the land was green,
And sky in many shades of blue,
We picked the colors from nature's palette,
To paint our dreams in various hues.

There were those nights when we played,
Underneath the sparkling sky,
When moon was like a best friend,
A simple thought we now deny.

Fluffy clouds formed so many forms,
Rabbits, deer and flying swan.
The rainbow was our overpass,
To the world in which we had never gone.

The trees were holding the heaven above,
Zephyr would whisper our names,
The wind would tease us on the swing,
Fancies that sound so lame.

Rains were the times of paper boats,
Floating hundreds in a row,
Drenching ourselves we often thought,
Lighting is divine arrow.

The snowmen of the colder states,
The sand dunes of deserts,
The forests near the mighty rivers,
The ocean's kiss to sandy earth.

The fish and bees and butterflies,
The puppies in the neighbor’s farm,
The cubs of fiercest animals of wild,
And croaking little frogs from swamp,

The whole world fascinated us,
And captivated we all believed,
The tiniest twig has life in it,
Flowery Magick perfectly weaved.

Those were the days of explicit love,
When senseless innocence thrived,
Led by basics embed by birth,
We lived a perfect life.

Today it's the world of smoke and heat and dust,
And mounting hate and stress,
I distaste and disapprove of its face,
So, I am returning back to my basics.
