My dreams were a boulevard of expectations,
Some random thoughts of anticipation,
A raft of hope, in the river of illusion,
But the world kept demanding justification.
Logical weapons ready for annihilation,
My tender dreams… longing protection,
In search of a womb that permits creation,
My tender dreams… dreamt of conception.
I so wish, you hadn’t made those allegations,
I so wish, you could realize the innocent intentions,
I so wish, you had not put me to this deprivation,
I so wish, you had not denied my affection.
What you felt to be mere ostentation,
Was this stupid heart’s true jubilation,
What you thought lacked sophistication,
Were dreams, desires and love sans ornamentation.
Do all simple things have complications?
Or, is it just my fate’s degeneration?
Unable to curb all those ambitions,
These weeping dreams find solace in my compositions.
